Commission for a building on ‘de Mars’, Woonbedrijf Ieder1. The starting point of this work was the cartographic representation of this specific place on an old map of Zutphen. I transformed the defence wall and water elements of the drawing into a pattern which in itself relates to the traditions of Arab tiles and the Dutch Delfts Blue Tiles.
