the point of departure for this work are the recent neuro-scientific evidence of possible genetic memory and thus the revival of the theories of Lamarck (1744-1829). In Arita, the oldest ceramic town of Japan, three potter families Soujirou, Shinemon and Ooshu were willing to collaborate. I filmed in a very specific way, father and son throwing exactly the same bowl. The outcome is a series of short films as evidence of the differences and similarities of the gestures of their hands.
